The Department of Home science, SDNB Vaishnav college for women, on 22/2/2019 organized a one-day workshop on flower arrangement demonstration. The program commenced with college prayer. Followed by the felicitation by the Heads of the Department, Dr. Renu Agarwal, and Mrs. Subasshini. The resource person for the day was Mrs. Glory Gunaseeli, a free-lance floral designer. She was expertise in making various types of flower arrangement and bouquet making.
The one-day programme was an elaborate demonstration inculcating knowledge on how to create different types of flower arrangement. Mrs. Glory started the session with short introduction on the basis of flower arrangement. Then, she briefly demonstrated on how to create 8 different types of flower arrangements like all-round, oval, facing, crescent, Ikebana, Horizontal arrangements like border & line-mass arrangements and to make hand-tied bouquet. The tips and simple explanation given by her made the students to learn and understand easily. Thus, the one-day workshop was highly beneficial to students.
