Lyricist #Balaji’s :
I feel extremely proud to have stepped onto this stage today as a lyricist. #ArunrajaKamaraj has played a huge role in helping me become a writer and director. He was the one who showed me the talent that existed within me.
My heartfelt thanks to my friend and mentor, @gvprakash. From the day in 2003 when he played the ‘Urugudhe Marugudhe’ song for me on his CD player to where he has reached today, his hard work and effort are the reason behind it all. This kind of hard work is what has earned GV three National Awards. His reach is now extending everywhere. He is composing music across all Pan-India languages, working on films in different languages and every kind of genre. Even while working across such a wide range, the fact that he is still able to deliver blockbuster hits is entirely because of his hard work. I will always respect that. I can even give my life for him. But if I give my life away, who will give life to his music and songs? That has to be me.
#VenkyAtluri is an extraordinary man. We don’t call him Venky Atluri; we call him ‘Pookie Atluri.’ He is such a genuine, truthful and soulful person. When Venky came to us for this film, he gave us the script almost a year before, and when we started working on it, I personally liked so many things in the script. Many moments in the script itself moved me to tears. Vishwanath And Sons is not just Venky Atluri’s art; it is his heart. That is how much of his work went into it. He is a person whom everyone likes and a very positive person. Love you, Venky Atluri. It is really a pleasure working with you.
@realradikaa mam, my grandmother is also your fan, and my mother is your fan too. And now, I am also your fan. The reason my generation continues to be a fan of you is because of your work and your passion for cinema. You continue to inspire us so much, and I believe you will continue to inspire us even more. Moreover, the fact that my lyrics and my songs are part of your performances is something I feel extremely proud and happy about.
@_mamithabaiju, you are a beautiful actress, and you have performed extremely well. Moreover, the films you choose and the films you do make people enjoy them. As Radhika mam said, you have been giving versatile and excellent performances. Everyone is appreciating you for that. You should be happy and proud because it is something genuine.
#Sunil, the fun journey we had together over the last 15 days was really wonderful. You have a fantastic character in the film and have given a great performance. The way you dubbed and the effort you put into the dubbing were also really superb. So, thank you.
And @BhavaniSre, you are always a part of our family, she is GV’s sister. You have done a great job. My prayers are that all good things happen to you. Performing such a challenging role opposite Suriya sir is not easy, but you handled it so beautifully and completely. You have a bright future ahead. As usual, everyone has done a superb job in the film.
When it comes to @Suriya_offl sir, let’s go back to 2003. During the Ghajini period, around 2003 to 2005, I was waiting at my radio station to interview him. I was preparing myself, thinking I should ask questions that would impress him. Then he got a little late. When he finally arrived and walked in, the first thing he told me was, ‘Sorry, I made you wait.’ He was such a big star; he didn’t have to apologise to me. I was just a radio jockey working at a radio station for ₹5,000. But he did. That is his quality. From that day until today, he has maintained that quality with everyone.
When it comes to #VishwanathAndSons, Venky has brought the old Suriya back before our eyes. He has shown us the family-man Suriya, a Suriya whom everyone loves. The film is being enjoyed by everyone, and Suriya sir is a major plus for that. I would like to thank Venky for beautifully bringing that version of Suriya back for us.
There is a saying that this journey of mine has come to an end very soon. So, I hope to meet all of you again soon on another beautiful journey. As far as this film is concerned, I have worked on nearly three songs. One is ‘Aaraariro’, the mother song, then the ‘Uyire Uyire’ song, and another song called ‘Paazhmalai’, which comes when the child appears for the first time.
Thank you, press and media, for all your support.
